Kick.io sells for $40,000

July 22, 2021 by Raymond Hackney

Kick.io

It looks like Mike Carson hit another .io home run with the $40,000 sale of Kick.io. The domain name was registered back in 2015. The buyer looks to be a Defi startup.

Kick.io is a Cardano-based fundraising platform and a project accelerator, designed to leverage DeFi innovations to provide transparent, efficient, and fully decentralized crowdfunding services. Unlike our competitors, we offer full support of Cardano native tokens and a suite of advanced DeFi tools that upcoming projects need to thrive and prosper.

It’s been a great year for .io and Mike Carson especially.

Kick.com sold for $276,077 in June of 2020 at Rightofthedot.

    i believe kick.com at 276 k is major bargain
kick.io at 40 k – probably could have sold for more without that 2020 comp, but i’m sure mike carson knows how to get max value

The Kick.com sale was a wholesale price (and an oldish one), sold after Namescon auction, that is the difference. The .IO sales seems low to me compared to sales a couple of months ago.

I agree…only reason i would think kick.io would go for only 40 k – the buyer used the 276 k price for kick.com in negotiations

i see kick.io more in the 50-75 k range, based on recent io sales and such a solid ket word
