January 30, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

On the Third Row Tesla Podcast Elon Musk talks about the 10 year effort to buy Tesla.com.

He mentioned the trademark for $75,000 buying the domain was a whole different nightmare that took us 10 years to buy that Tesla com domain. That cost was like 10 million dollars yeah that was crazy.

Musk talks about the name might have been changed to Farraday which later a competitor took. Faraday Future, who bought FF.com for $1.4 million.

He got quite a bargain steal for Tesla.com when you consider the deal could have included stock. And that’s a steal for one like FF.com.
