Sedo weekly sales led by a new gtld – Bitcoin.Casino

February 28, 2017 by Raymond Hackney

Sedo released their weekly sales and it was the best week in a long time for new gtlds. The top sale overall was a new gtld, Bitcoin.casino sold for $28,000. The first .blog sales I have seen hit this week. Weed.blog sold for $7,877, Bitcoin.blog sold for $5,555 and Forex.Blog sold for $2,159.

NatureLab.com was the top .com sale at $22,000. Lab is a popular keyword and the right keywords combined with lab continue to sell for good prices.

Among new gTLDs, “Bitcoin.Casino” is definitely a valuable one.

So the bottom line is that some keywords in some of the new gTLDs are definitely among the gold, silver, diamonds, and gems. Some of the keyword + TLD combinations are in a class by themselves in fact, and worth a fortune.

Had you read Joe Uddeme’s “Domain Industry Thoughts for 2017” on January 2nd, you would have known this New TLD investing phenomenon was on the way and been ready for it.

Lol, what are you talking about? We’ve all known it was coming for years before the first new TLD even appeared.

    Side note:

Uh oh, look who’s spreading misguided misinformation about EMDs that misleads end users and threatens our industry:

No surprise Patel cautioned SEJ readers that .US was a spam TLD…. what a weasel.

Biff, a big irony for me is that I just recently discovered him and watched one of his Webinars. Now I get his emails until I decide to block, lol. I’m shocked he could believe such things.

        But wait, there’s more…

And now we have a clear and graphic natural consequence of how end users, i.e. the people we are marketing to and want to be buying and leasing our domain names, are deceived by this information. See Julio’s comment expressing his surprise at the great nonexistent Google penalty for merely having and using an EMD:

        oops, I meant misinformation*

And by the way, I don’t know about anyone else, but I have already been hit with the “EMD’s are now bad” routine in negotiations, so it is clearly a problem.

p.s. I posted before Julio there, but not surprisingly the guy blocked my post. I’d like to think it was only because I had a live link to http : // dotweekly . com/extreme-power-generic-domain-names/, but I won’t bet on it.

On the topic of cryptocurrency, the United States Federal Reserve is going to pull all the paper money out of circulation beginning with the $100 bills and introduce FEDCOIN, similar to Bitcoin.

7 days ago on Feb 24, 2017 Jesse Crawford of Hollywood, CA filed a TM application with the USPTO for the word “FEDCOIN” for “G & S: Financial services, namely, providing a virtual currency for use by members of an on-line community via a global computer network”.

FedCoin.com was registered in December of 2014 by Dan Ryan.

Mr. Crawford’s TM app for FedCoin hasn’t yet been published for opposition but it is unlikely he will be awarded registration for the name of the new US digital currency.

    Tonight I registered:
    fedcoin.loan
    fedcoin.xyz
    fedcoin.one
    fedcoin.me
    fedcoin.io
    fedcoinx.com
    fedcoinone.com
    fedcoin1.com
    fcoin.me

Most of the registrations were 99 cents except for the .io, and fedcoin.loan which was $27.

If you want to register FedCoin.Casino now is your chance it’s $199.00 at GoDaddy
