Google has changed the name from Google Capital to CapitalG and this time they did get the domain name capitalg.com.

The domain name looks to have been acquired a few weeks ago. The domain was owned by an organization called GDiapers back in 2014 and then it moved to privacy. It transferred from Go Daddy to Mark Monitor.

TechCrunch.com covered the story about Google Capital changing their name and some of their investments.

Nice acquisition. It’s shorter and a bit playful. Google seems to like the playful branding.

Sooner or later they will settle with BMW for Alphabet.com and abandon that phony .xyz address. They’re .com guys.

    Merge Abc.xyz, CapitalG.com and call it Capital.One
