Lucky7 wasnt a bad domain to begin with. Ha I owned it I would probably have kept renewing it every year anyway. We’ve all certainly seen enough things using the term before in the world.

I agree with JP, I would have been renewing Lucky7 without this but its nice to get the lucky break too.

I had one years ago Mike, actually before I ever sold a domain I leased one. This was back in 2003, I own the domain BeautyBooty.com and Cosmo runs a contest called CosmoBeautyBooty.com. So big magazine well known, I get a call that their printer made a mistake and they printed stuff with just BeautyBooty.com. So someone from Hearst Corporation who owns Cosmopolitan calls me, asks if there was ever porn on the domain ? I said no, they said it would cost a fortune to have everything reprinted so how much for 1 month to lease the domain ? I quoted $1,000 they came back right away and I forwarded the domain for them for a month got $1,000.

The owner of Lucky7 should get some good traffic with it, but thats about all. I’m sure ABC
would have bought it…….or leased it…….by now if they wanted to use it for promoting their new game show. Lets face it, social media is having a huge impact on the value of domain names.

Alan… That’s not the case… Not rare to see media
dropping the ball and not thinking through projects. . .
It’s good for us that they are not so bright. . .

    Patricia

People who are eager to enter the contest should have no problem remembering that the domain name is ABCLucky7.com. Besides, the prize is $100,000, not a million or two. How much would Lucky7.com cost ABC? Another $100,000? (Or more?)

Sure, if it was available to be registered for 10 bucks, of course they’d grab it… but otherwise, no “dropping the ball” here that I see. In fact, putting ABC in front of “Lucky7”, reminds people what network the show is on. It might be easy to forget, otherwise.
