Markmonitor released their Q2 2024 new gtld report. The 25 page report is all things new gtld. I was interested in what they called Web Fusion. Web2 and Web3 converging.
This starts on page 17 and discusses the two big players in that game. D3 and Unstoppable Domains. If you have any interest in the convergence of these two realms I think it’s worth a read.

Centralized companies such as unstoppable domains, which can take away your domains for any reason similarly to ICANN, such as the .coin fiasco, are inherently not “web3”. The only reason they claim to be “web3” is to take advantage of those that don’t know better.
