Leet.io sells for $10,000

March 19, 2021 by Raymond Hackney

Leet.io

Another five figure .io sale as Leet.io sells for $10,000. This was not an expired auction. Looking at the Whois it looks like Mike Carson’s company Humbly, LLC sold the domain name.

The domain name redirects to REH.at. The buyer is a street artist who has a background in software engineering.

For those unfamiliar with the term Leet

Leet (or “1337”), also known as eleet or leetspeak, is a system of modified spellings used primarily on the Internet. It often uses character replacements in ways that play on the similarity of their glyphs via reflection or other resemblance.

Congrats to Mike Carson who just keeps kicking butt.

Hey cool. Have not been posting on domaining site lately. Very unwelcoming to non-com investors. Got tired of all the argument and hearing ‘com king’ fanbois forever hate.

I still keep some new domains. I have been into the NFT game item market is it exploding so much interest. A lot of times items are unique like domains, and unlike most crypto, have utility (gaming purpose). Trading them is just a blast.

A lot of time I see domains and think, hey I have one like that! In this case, leet.ist LOL. Gonna expire soon tho not sure I want to keep this one or not. It’s a meme i’d say.

    LEET.IST yea!

Stop trying to associate .IO with New Tlds. The two have absolutely nothing to with each other and New TLDs generally are still steaming piles of poo.

“I still keep some new domains” says it all, sounds like you dropped most.
