      this was a reserve auction so someone was selling it the domain didn’t expire.

      It did not expire as JZ said this was a private seller.

    I would have guessed 5-10k, so $65k retail seems about right. Maybe a rare case of multiple perfect end-users fighting over a domain on NJ…

    It’s also an example of a overly generic ‘deadpan’ brand, also evidenced by the ancient web archive showing Chathouse.com as the preferred mark.

      I would bet that a domainer bought this. Probably worth 300k wholesale a decade or two ago. A lot of these EMD’s are now DOA and will likely go lower over time, especially the ones with a tech theme.
