Will you pay to attend a virtual NamesCon?

June 19, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

NamesCon 360

On April 9’th we asked is the future of NamesCon is virtual? Well for the immediate future that question was answered. Yes!

NamesCon 360° Online Conference starting September 9

Content and Sessions

Live expert sessions and panels

On-demand content Global and region-specific programming

Workshops Expert

Q&A and roundtables

The conference looks promising.

Network and Interactivity

  • 1-on-1 video chats
  • Networking lounge
  • Gamification
  • Intuitive matchmaking
  • Live polls and quizzes

Pricing has not yet been made available. That will be key, as a poll I started on Namepros has showed not many are interested in paying for a virtual conference.

The Domain Show organized by Page Howe will get a headstart on NamesCon 360°.

So are you open to paying for a Virtual NamesCon?

They need to pay me to attend because I am the force behind the domain industry.
And I don’t think they can afford my presence fees.
I charge consulting fees to voice my opinion and interviews.
I am easy and available but not cheap.

If they price is right they’ll get a far higher attendance. I think if it is around $200 or less they could do well and end up with a more profitable conference than normal. Some events are doing well with this format because of ease of attendance.

    This is ridiculous!

Surely there must be a way to have the sponsors cover the cost of this, and have the attendees participate for free, right?

We’re already tied to our computers enough as it is, so who would want to tolerate actually paying just to have the privilege of virtually attending? Seriously!

    What a joke…

Think attendance will triple if priced right. The old model of traveling to the venue would have been massively holding back numbers.
