How are you doing?

How are you doing?
How are you?

So 2020 has not been a good year by any stretch of the imagination. So first things first how are you doing?

How has this turbulent start to the new decade affected your domain business?

To take it a step further, how has this time in isolation filled with anxiety changed your outlook on domaining for the better or the worse?

Surprisingly volume of sales and average price is much better than the first five months of 2019. Even more sales/inquiries after COVID.

Future of domaining looking bright as more businesses want to have some sort of online presence.

Thank you for asking I appreciate the sentiment.

I am usually out and about so these months have been very different. I register domain names and manage my portfolio in bars, coffee shops and even an ice cream parlor.

It will be nice for things to get open again where people feel like they can finally breathe.

Hope you are well Raymond and same goes with Mike.

A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist
sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”

I just sold a domain for 69$ ,hand reg at 3.99 3 mths ago.
    Repeat
    Repeat
    Repeat a billion times…easy peasy
    Stocks all time high.
    Time,money and good health…….
    No stress.

Domain sales have been so-so for me so far this year, not a lot, but some decent sales. I’ve cut my folio way down, so that is probably one reason as not as many to sell. As for anxiety, been dosing daily on CBD, so my anxiety and stress levels have dramatically reduced the past year, and have been quite healthy lately. As for domaining, still all-in on it and see the upside and outlook on it for a while!

    Stay Safe Raymond.

Let’s face it.. The domain market has gone way down even before Covid19. Been at this for many years now.
Making $20. or $50. on a sale is no interest to me. I have a friend with prime one words. He can’t get near the price he should be getting at this point in the industry.
Sorry but let’s be honest. It really is a shame.

When domaining is your livelihood then there is so much stress.Owing one word domain does not mean success.
Domains is a stress reliever a fun BS hobby
No stress. When you are having fun you make money. When I hand reg a domain at 3.99 and sold for 70$ in less than 3mths .that is cheap thrill..nothing to loose.

For me it’s a waste of time. I am a domain investor. Not a hobbyist. And this is not my full time job.

2020 will be a year people will be talking about for decades, unless, of course, if things get worse: revolts, several cat 5 hurricanes, CMS solar flares knocking out the grids for 2 yrs (this almost happened in 2012), 50% unemployment….things seem calmer in new zealand, singapore, denmark…

I am a newbie, and have bought some domain from godaddy, but understand that I can’t transfer them for 60 days. What’s the best way to offer them for sale?

Nine freaking years. Correction, ten or eleven I have attempted to profit on domains. Hours searching for the ‘next big thing’ and flopping down a years hold. I was up to about fifty not too long ago. I got real tired of GoDaddy laughing while taking my grand plus. No real plan but to hold till broke or rich.
