Is now the time for Punchh to go after Punch.com?

November 14, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

Punch.com

So today it was reported that Punchh a company that did loyalty cards that has now expanded to analytics raised $40 million. Punch.com is owned by Dr. Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. They also own and have the trademark for Hawaiian Punch.

Punch.com which surprisingly has a registration date of 1995 DomainIQ gave me incorrect info

Domain Name: punch.com
Registry Domain ID: 613748_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.corporatedomains.com
Registrar URL: www.cscprotectsbrands.com
Updated Date: 2018-08-04T05:30:06Z
Creation Date: 2005-11-05T05:00:00Z

Punch.com does not resolve.

So Dr. Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. does not really need the name and does not seem to care enough to even have it propagate. Is now the time Punchh should approach them and make an offer?

I say yes, what do you think?

I’d imagine they’ve tried, but the domain is probably not that important for this type of business either. Would be surprised if something happen.
