Sex.net and Porn.net are both owned by the same company. NSFW or children around, the site only displays a one page adult themed game. The banner at the top says maybe for sale and goes to a Uniregistry lander.

Diy.net has a one page lander that talks about launching soon, the name looks to have changed hands from the person who bought it back in 2007, it’s now owned by a lady in Taiwan.
Pisos.net does not resolve.

given that .com, .net and .org were the original three, I can see that .net is a worthwhile extension. but, other than domainers, who is going to do a web search for banks.io when everything the tv viewing public sees is dotcom?

That’s a lot of money for sex and porn to just be developed how they are developed. How does one justify those prices?

You can’t justify it, and they ain’t ever selling those names for those prices again.

The .net market has crashed. They’d get a fraction of those prices today, maybe 10%. Many of those were wholesale transactions at the time.
