Answers to queries right in the address bar?

September 23, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

Latest Chrome Mobile Search Bar

I read an article on Search Engine Journal with regards to an upcoming update of Google Chrome.

Forget about Zero search clicks and go straight to zero query answers.

From the article:

“Now on both desktop and Android, answers will show up inside the address bar where you type your query—whether you’re looking for results about sporting events or instant answers about the local weather or translations of a foreign word.”

This will certainly affect search volume for a topic, one metric that certain domain owners seek when placing domains wanted threads. It will certainly affect publishers as well, no need to click through to an article when the question is answered in the Chrome address bar.

Another wrinkle in the evolving Internet.
