Burl.com sells for second time in less than a year

March 21, 2019 by Raymond Hackney

Burl.com sold for the third time in 12 years and the second time in less than one year. The domain closed at $24,555 on NameJet and was the top close for Wednesday. The name sold for just $5,088 in April of 2018. That sale was down from the previous sale 11 years before at $5,805. The name was registered in 1996.

Congrats to the seller. 382.6% ROI.

Congrats to the seller! Why did it sell so high this time if anybody knows?

Not sure who bought it but interestingly enough BURL can also represent the Burlington Store Inc stock symbol which is a so so guess but the interesting part is burl.com clearly displays multiple and only clothing ads which in my opinion could be a decent case for infringement. Why people do this stuff when parking is crazy and now the hot tatter is someone elses.

I would investigate the seller. Only two or more end users could push the price up this high.

Short, memorable and will easily sell over time. I think the aforementioned should always be considered when buying a domain with the sole purpose of reselling.
    Thanks for the info
