Emoji domains have a theme song

November 4, 2018 by Raymond Hackney

This came out earlier this year but I never saw it tweeted or mentioned anywhere.

I just thought it was a fun way to try to promote a niche you were interested in.

It was created by the owners of i❤️.ws

I think they need to do a music video next with Vito from Media Branding, Page Howe and our contributor here Alvin Brown.

And no we are not recommending you invest in emoji domains, posted as pure entertainment.

    Ray, very funny…lol
We dont want to scare anyone though. 🙂

That is a funny video. A theme song for any niche in domaining is pretty cool.

Jon Roig did a pretty good job!

Thx for the mention! Obviously, we’d recommend that any and every internet startup get a theme song.

The music and whatnot is by Matt of Motetn Media. He’s recorded something like 15,000 songs on Spotify about subjects ranging from bleach to towns in California to poop. His work exceeds expectations… and I’ll be darned if he didn’t have the whole thing turned around in a day or two.

Lol. Great song. I believe, for the record (just sayin’), .CLUB was first to have a theme song when we launched in 2014: https://nic.club/jingle/

We also published this New TLD song/video: “My Favorite Strings – The Domain Name Song”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTeD6vFSb28

Maybe with the Emoji song and a few others, we can put out a domain industry album… 😉

Geez… I guess you’re right: maybe “first” was too bold a proclamation.

But as counter-evidence to your claim of being first, who could forget this seminal tune from GoDaddy?

… at one point many years ago I worked on the Webmail client for GoDaddy, and that song was one of the included ringtones, buried deep in the code. It may still be there if you dig around long enough…

Haha. Of course GoDaddy is not a Registry, so we can still be the “first” and “new first” on the registry side. 🙂 I found the lyrics of the GoDaddy song particularly moving…. Ha.

I wonder if anyone picked up all the emoji domains I let expire over a month ago,. I had some good ones — impulse buys will kick you in the gut every time….I love emojis. What can I say?

I mean… I’m not a domain investing expert or anything, but it’d probably be a good idea to buy them again if no one has.
