John McAfee is 72 years old, founded one of the best known anti virus companies and is predicting Bitcoin will hit $1million by 2020.
He has promised to eat his own dick if it does not.
Here is one of the better and more interesting conversations you will read on Twitter. Read all the tweets under the initial tweet for the full story.
When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bircoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong. pic.twitter.com/WVx3E71nyD

All cryptocurrencies is bubble like new gtlds.
I know I am going to sound thick but PLEASE can someone advise me WHAT EXACTLY Bitcoin is actually used?useful for ?. It just strikes me as one massive Pyramid Scheme. I would understand of it was a token used by people to buy ordinary things online like real paper money ,but with paper money a $1 bill does not increase in value to $1 Million it stays at being worth $1.
BItcoin is nothing but a bunch of binary code, it has no physical properties, other than a series of numbers on a hard drive. Essentially equivalent to fairy dust in never never land.
Last I heard McAfee was living in a rented 1 bedroom apartment in Portland somewhere, lets hope he loaded up.
It’s a secure, decentralized store of value where you hold the keys to your wealth. What is it good for? You can ask the Saudis who had $800 billion confiscated from their goverment:
http://fortune.com/2017/11/08/saudi-arabia-prince-mohammed-asset-seizure-corruption/
The government froze their bank accounts. If they had it in bitcoin, their government wouldn’t be able to seize it.
No one government or organization controls it, and it is open source, so everyone can see how it works and how much bitcoin there is.
More and more “entities” are accepting it, hence real “value.” That could change with government crackdown, however. Jury it still quite out.
Can I ask what your rationale was for rec’ing bitcoin to your clients years ago?
That would imply 21 trillion USD in demand to support that price. You’re assuming either USD goes close to zero in value or people around the world stop buying other things.
So what happens when the government decides to tax, or regulate bitcoin as it will start to be used by drug dealers, and fraudsters? Does it go to zilch, maybe they are waiting for all these dirty money types to load up, then take all that wealth away from them, and call it tax, and even
There is already been a series of regulations and there has already been a prosecution of the silk road drug kingpin and the government agents whole stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoins from the drug dealers. The coins were auctioned off. There is a non-profit called Con Center that deals with these issues and puts out educational material. Bitcoin takes a lot of research to figure out what is going on but it is all out there if you can sort through all the loonies.
John McAfee, warned last month that he was late on $2,100 in rent on his luxury Southeast Portland apartment, responded by accusing his building manager of being part of a “conspiracy” and told the manager, “I hope you have a safe to run to.”
yeah mcaffe isn’t right in the head.
that’s from 2013
poor guy. hopefully he’s not using his dick anymore
He may be a bit nuts, but his prediction may be more sane than you think. No need to debate the success of Bitcoin and ETHEREUM: They’re both going to hit unimaginable highs over the next 24-36 months.
He is not doing it as a visionary, he is onboard with some companies, his name still carries alot of weight from the virus software, but he has some other issues at hand, and I am assuming he is trying to stay afloat, as most of what was left of his wealth probably got sunk in Belize.
He never really made off that big with the MCAFEE sale, but smart guy for sure, but not just doing whatever it takes to stay afloat.
I don’t have any stake in BTC, but am placing all my bets on ETHEREUM, because Ether (the currency) is going to be more valuable over time than BTC once the various payment processors build on the platform.

Hope you are indeed right as I have EthereumCrown.com & 360Ether.com for sale at Sedo!
That OLD FART forgot to take his medicine, he is Totally out of his mind! He probably wanted to eat his own dick 50 years ago and now at 72 his dick is no longer alive! lol too late to eat that rotten mini dick! lmao
I predict that John McAfee will die by 2020 and Bitcoin will CRASH to $ 6 USD a piece next month, so the lucky bastards that purchased bitcoin for $ 12 USD each 9 years ago will CRY like babies with pooped dirty diapers! LOL!
Somebody give that old man his drugs, I bet he is already an OPIOIDSTER!! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!! 😀
If you’re so confident that it’s going to collapse, start selling futures on it when they are launched next month. Then a few years from now let everyone on the board know how that’s working out for you.
But be sure to get the most leverage possible by shorting them naked, without owning any BTC to offset any upside runs.
You can already short btc on gemini, and other exchanges, as well trade on margin
Confirmed – Bitcoin futures begin trading in 3-weeks…

It’s bite size anyways. Will be over in a second.
somebody needs to attach it to a good MLM scheme.
Hello,
I want to buy bitcoin, but the idea of having to send a photo of me holding my ID-card to an unknown exchange platform scares the hell out of me.
Especially when remembering the Mt. Gox scandal. Who knows where all my personal information will end?!
Am I the only one with these worries? Has everyone that talks about having bought bitcoins done all these steps?
or is there a way to buy bitcoins more anonymously?
Thank you
I see Ethereum as a long-term asset.
Great technology. Major companies , including Microsoft and Amazon, have integrated the technology.
It still has some significant flaws and holes (cyber breaches and theft), but that should improve.
Per McAfee — he’s a salesman with lots of grit and charisma. He’s part of the noise, not the signal.
The great thing is if this happens someone can have as little as $2,000 ish invested in BTC today and that investment would turn into around $200,000.
“He has promised to eat his own dick if it does not.”
I predict hard times after 2020 for John McAfee … lol … 🙂
