Sedo seems to sell a lot of crap gibberish domains.

You can see from Sedo’s auction pages that they are selling some fantastic domains at six-figure prices all the time. The reason we don’t see these sales reported is because, as a buyer, it’s easy to ask Sedo to not publicize a transaction, which most buyers of high-priced domains are obviously doing.

It’s an open question as to whether, and to what degree, Sedo’s 50k price cap (along with a similar cap at Afternic) is influencing market prices by limiting the prices of some high-value listings to that threshold, in order to have inventory made available through those platforms’ registrar affiliates.

Sedo and Afternic could argue, with good reason, that higher transaction volumes make up for any revenues lost by the 50k cap, at least for those platforms. As a seller, although I dislike the caps, I admit that they are boosting the liquidity of aftermarkets by making high-quality inventory more readily available to buyers.

Raymond, you say $20,000 is a great price for SportsBetting.info – what is about BetWorld.info?

Maybe but in my opinion sometimes careful selected good quality or trending hand-registered domains (quite often some of them are previously dropped) have indeed much better values than these very expensive crappy or poor quality meaningless aged domains!
