Verisign: Internet Grows to 326.4 Million Domain Names in the First Quarter of 2016

Verisign reported domain stats for the first quarter of 2016. The report not only breaks down .com and .net but cctld’s and new gtld’s.

com and .net Breakdown

The .com and .net TLDs experienced aggregate growth, reaching a combined total of approximately 142.5 million domain names in the domain name base in the first quarter of 2016. [2] In the first quarter of 2016, Verisign processed 10 million new domain name registrations for .com and .net, as compared to 8.7 million domain names for the same period in 2015.
