All in All Trust in Domaining Looks Good

July 11, 2016 by Raymond Hackney

We have written about how much domain industry participants believe what they read and hear. The numbers were mixed with a fair number of people coming in around 50%.

A recent study published by the Pew Research Center shows that trust is down all over the place. For those who get news from social media trust is abysmal with only 4% of adults polled saying they trust it a lot.

National news organizations only come in at 18% and local at 22%. Now these two categories fare better when you add in the designation of trusting “some.”

Trust in the domain industry is looking pretty good.

Few have a lot of confidence in information from professional news outlets or friends and family, though majorities show at least some trust in both, but social media garners less trust than either

I’m actually surprised the numbers are that high. But then, I suppose I have to also account for the high influx of newer investors that are not quite familiar with identifying red flags yet. The old saying goes; “Believe none of what your hear and only half of what you see. The truth is much clearer that way”.
