.Com Passes 127 Million Registrations For 1st Time

According to Verisign, the number of .Com registration passed 127 million for the first time.

It was on March 5th, 2016 that the number of .Com registrations passed 126 million, so .Com added a net of 1 Million domain names in just over 2 months.

Out of the 127 million .com domain names,  just over 126 million are in the “Active Zone File”.

126 million .Com domain names is also an all time high for the Active Zone File.

    Only 500 of this 27 million are Fortune500, the remaining 26,999,500 companies may resort new gTLD’s to carry things to the next level.

        Just sayin’ 126 million customers now have additional options come renewal time and can always expect more from a domain than what they’re currently getting, a role gTLD’s arrived to fill.

    Obviously 127 million domain names do not equal 127 million customers there are people that actually have more than 1 domain, I’m guilty of that myself

    For some reason I still believe Chinese have many more things to say in .com this year so I expect 130M+ till the end of 2016
