Little.com Reported Stolen

March 16, 2016 by Raymond Hackney

There is a post on Namepros.com where the member is saying he purchased Little.com and it was stolen at Network Solutions.

The message is very sloppy with a lot of spaces so reading the post may take a bit of time. Apparently Escrow.com was used for the transaction. The price looks to be $33,000.

The domain is currently under privacy. It was registered in 1994. If you get offered this domain for sale be very leery.

Russian hackers even hijacking lots of names from
    Netsol lately

Why can’t escrow be used if they had possession of the domain?

Lesson learned..even whois contact purchase can be stolen domain..this is something new..Seems like at least phone call verification to seller at least needed when you purchase $10k+ names..

A month ago some Russian hackers put asad.com, and abdullah.com on namepros, the mods would not remove the domains, until someone made a call to the owner, and he alerted netsol, the auction was up for days, $10 to start, it was a total joke.

Netsol is getting hit hard, no other asset in history, can you setup such a deal, and bang 5-6 figures like that.

    Simply amazing.

Hello, my name is Eric Lyon and I am the Community Administrator for NamePros. I spoke to the owner personally on the phone about the domain Abdullah.com and confirmed that it was a stolen domain. Staff at NamePros do not automatically remove anything until there is some evidence / proof of a violation. As soon as I got off the phone with the rightful owner, I made sure to post a disclaimer in the thread to warn everyone and closed it. You can view the thread and disclaimer here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/abdullah-com-beautiful-arabic-name.921400/page-2#post-5329609

There is also an article about NamePros mods confirming the domain was stolen over at DomainGang here: http://domaingang.com/domain-crime/domain-crime-abdullah-com-and-asad-com-are-stolen-domains/

I just wanted to clarify a little more on what actually happened.

      Thanks,
      Eric Lyon

I thought it was a yahoo issue when the netsol domains stolen, but it seems a netsol issue since many netsol domains are being stolen?

I was involved in a normal transfer of domains and it was hard like crazy to get the email updated at netosl (from the rightful owner) how these hijackers are able to steal domains from netsol in the first place?
