According to a press release out today, Foshan DiYong Network Co. Ltd, a domain name registrar in China has decided to change their domain name, from 72e.net to the new gTLD 72.win.

.Win is owned and operated by Famous Four Media, and Richard Downs, VP of Sales at Famous Four Media had this to say in the PR:

“We are over the moon with the growth of the .WIN domain extension. “We are especially pleased that Foshan DiYong Network Co. Ltd, an experienced domain registrar has acquired www.72.win and is making this great domain name the location of its presence on the web. The acquisition of one of our premium domain names by an industry insider reinforces the goals of the new gTLD program and the .WIN extension in particular.”

According to ntldstats, Foshan DiYong Network Co. Ltd has over 17,651 new gTLD’s under management as of publication.

We do not know how many other domain names it has in non-gTLD extensions.

.Win is the 4th most registered new gTLD according to ntldstats.com with 829,252 domains.

Its good to see a registrar taking gTLD’s seriously, its about time considering in the not so distant future they will make up a large portion of their business, unless the world forgets to renew their .com’s.
