Salesforce.com has acquired yet another great domain name; Code.com

The domain name Code.com just updated yesterday to show Salesforce.com as the new owner.

The domain was previously owned under privacy at the brand protection company and domain name registrar Safenames which is also the company that Salesforce.com uses.

According to Screenshots.com the last time they indexed a site on code.com was back in 2010 when the domain name was owned by a Mary Cronin at NetworkSolutions.com

However before going into privacy at Safenames, the domain for a short time in March 2002, the domain Code.com was owned by a James Barre of Domains Cable, at Safenames.com

Other domain names owned by Salesforce.com include Data.com, Social.com, Database.com, Force.com, Work.com, Desk.com, Community.com, and IQ.com.

They surely know how to pick them, don’t they?

It would be amazing to see some revolutionary products or services from these domains.

What was the worth at which they bought code.com domain name? I think that might have cost them a lot of money.

We don’t know the price Salesforce.com paid the domain is valued at $140,000 at Estibot.com

Also since it sold from one client of safenames.com to the other it may have been sold without even “being on the market”

On the other hand Salesforce.com has shown by its other acquisitions it’s fine with spending millions on domains

Do we know the person(s) behind all these tremendous acquisitions? Certainly a candidate for domainer of the year!
