Automattic.com which is the Owner of WordPress.com appears to have Acquired the domain name JetPack.com
Jetpack is built into the WordPress Platform and also serves as the stat program for WordPress sites like TheDomains.com
Automattic.com has been using the domain name Jetpack.me for the service, but yesterday the whois records updated and the domain names is now registered by Mark Monitor with WordPress name servers.
It appears that the domain name that was formerly owned by Jetpack Design of Santa Monica sold the domain name last month.
The domain name JetPack.com has an Estibot.com valuation of $110,000.
I think WordPress is getting too much food into their mouth that they can chew.
There can be as many new extensions as you want, but .com is still king, well done Automattic
From yesterday, I see domains for sale ad links on this blog from time to time.
So far .com forwards to .me
This is a natural buy for Automattic. JatPack has been so popular for many years within the WP community so it only makes sense to see they finally bought the proper domain name.
