      LOL. Yes, that’s possible.

Bad argument. How is the new situation different from possible confusion between these names:
      KainCars.com
      KainAuto.com
      KainMotors.com

Only the biggest corporations can afford to defend against every possibility.

Since when is a company with 3 employees switching to a .Auto considered news?

    Todd

If you look that the company they are a leader in a specialized segment of the auto industry, with the awards they have won and their background seems pretty impressive

Cain, Kane, Cane, Kain: I understand the rationale if your cannot afford the .com brand (right now)

They already own the .com version. That’s the point of the story.

some people have no marketing sense.

why would anyone solicit confusion when engaged in marketing?

        makes ZERO sense to me.

these new Gtld’s are surplus supply to feed to the dogs.

i have seen this show so many times in my life it aint funny.

always ends badly for most but the VERY VERY VERY savvy.

        .com or nothing.

I think the new G’s are cleaner looking , not confusing at all..

who.is is very easy to remember , call it a hack if you will I call it easier.

When Chevy rolls out .chevy in phase two , we will buy AlaneBrowne.Chevy and we have the the .com

I used to collect old comic books.
Everyone wanted the bestest copy of the best books.
After 20 years of collecting that got very hard and very expensive for late entrants into the hobby.
The solution that the market developed was to restore lower grade books to higher grade.
Like Magic people who could no longer afford The bestest copies got better looking books.
Sometimes the new collectors were told the books were ‘restored’ sometimes they didnt.
That being beside the point, it didnt make a difference as the market mechanism had figured out how to create ‘new supply’ for everyone’s needs.
This worked seemed to work out great for late entrants………until it didnt.
Moral of the story: Be First !!!!

PS – I have at least 9 other life examples where I have seem FAKE new supply added on to the market. It ALWAYS ends badly. Maybe this time is different?

They should secure KainAuto.com if they can…this way they make better switch

Hi, “the point of the story” is they do not own the .com version.

Jonathan, they do own both KainAuto and KainAutomotive in .com.

If you mean that they don’t own the different spellings in .com what do you want them to do…they only spell their name one way.

My apologies I did not realize the owned KainAuto (in) but it does say a lot that they are Italian as I has been my experience that they are mired in inertia and have an Italian only mindset.
