There Goes Another Two Letter .Com To China: Telepathy Sells WG.com

November 5, 2015 by Michael Berkens

The domain name WG.com has sold to a Chinese buyer.

WG.com was owned by Nat Cohen’s Telepathy.com and is now over at GoldenName.com (4.cn)

Earlier today we reported that the domain name Ak.com appears to have sold as the site where the domain was listed for sale at just short of $5 Million dollars was updated to note that the domain had been sold.

A couple of readers to thedomains.com noted that two other, 2 letter .com domain names, EQ.com and ER.com that were previously for sale are now showing with “domain sold” pages.

The march of two letters domain names to the East continues.

    Does that surprise you?

Those involved in those transactions are welcome to send me the sales data.

I have reached out to Telepathy on several sales who have decline to furnish numbers

@fx most two letter sales are confidential, but I can safely say many of these names are being sold for over 7 figures.

You really mean 7 figures over $1m and not 8 figures or more, yes?

@john – yes. 7 figures. That seems to be a very normal price. Some names I am working with are getting 3,4 or 5 million bids.

Of course some names are bound to have sold for more. Perhaps 8 figures.
