It’s no big secret that many domainers have been registered any and all available LLLLL.com domain names, (Even LLLLLL.com  domains),  especially  in the past month or two.

While I noticed a big uptick on the registration of  LLLLL.com domains, I have also noticed a big uptick in the number of UDRP’s being filed on what just seem to be a good repeater or a pronounceable short domain

UDRP Decisions:

DORNA WSBK ORGANIZATION S.R.L. wins UDRP on the domain name SBKKK.com

CNN wins UDRP on the domain name CNNRS.com

Blackberry wins UDRP on the domain name bbpgp.com

WILO SE  Wins separate UDRP on ahwilo.com; hnwilo, Njwilo.com,

Chengdu Jiushi Agel Ecommerce Ltd wins UDRP on tjkx.com

Pending UDRP Cases

sidi.com

daara.com

flamp.com

burri.com

fırat.com

workmo.com

torneo.com

pamas.com

It is a better idea to always check for trademark infringement before registering or buying a domain name.

The longer the domain, the higher the chances of it being a word or an existing brand (as in these cases). That definitely affects domain brand shops that sell brandables with a “logo” as a freebie. Always check the domains for tm issues.

Its only a problem if you don’t get a chance to give the domain up with a C & D letter and a UDRP is filed and you loses a few, then you can get labeled by a UDRP as a serial cybersquatter which makes defending a valuable domain much harder in a UDRP
