According to an email we received today from Minds + Machines they are offering free domains in the new gTLD’s .Work & .Casa only on the Minds + Machines Registrar
“The offer is only valid for one more week, exclusively on Minds + Machines and the offer expires on June 15th, 2015”
The offer is valid for 10 .Work and 10 .Casa non-premium (standard names) domains “per customer”
Under the offer the first year registration is free, and renews at $5/yr thereafter.
Discount is applied at checkout.
It’s not clear at what time the offer expires on June 15th, but keep in mind Minds + Machines is based in London.
Already getting spam from registrants of free .Work domains that seized the opportunity.

Just tried searching for a couple and they’re selling for premium prices on M+M site . Not free
Good names are hard to find, but if you go off the beaten path (what would make good .com names) you can find stuff…just need to work out if you would be interested in paying $5 or so to renew
I had to search a bit…
but I was able to register TEN
and they were 100% FREE

It’s is the non-premium domains that are free to register. If you search long and hard enough – you’ll find a couple good ones. Worth a punt – it’s free after all
