North Korean Registrant Holding DailySquib.mobi hostage

March 20, 2015 by Raymond Hackney

According to the Daily Squib a North Korean hacker has registered one of their names, and its a .mobi of all things. The satirical website is having a little fun with someone in North Korea registering their name in .mobi.

Is this some kind of humour malfunction the North Koreans have?

According to Whois records www.dailysquib.mobi is being held ransom by some politburo member in the staunchly Communist country where internet access is strictly restricted.

You do realize The Daily Squib is a satirical “news” site, yes?

      But is the story satire?
The fact that I’m not sure indicates the level of quality that real satire is reaching.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a satire site or not. If you click the whois link that’s proof that the Daily Squib.mobi domain has been compromised. You have as much humor as a stone m-o-r-o-n.
