The ICANN Last Resort auction for the domain name extensions .Soccer .Hockey and .Run were scheduled for later this month.

Donuts already won the rights to operate new gTLD’s .Football, .Golf .Tennis and .Futbol

The domain name .Basketball is owned by the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA).

Famous Four owns and has already launched .Cricket and owns the rights to .Racing which of course would include auto and car racing.

Minds + Machines owns .Rugby

.Baseball is in auction and scheduled for an ICANN Last Resort Auction later this month between Donuts and Major League Baseball (MLB.com)

Football is the worlds most popular sport. Soccer is what the USA calls is.

This is tragic. .soccer is 100% would be better in MLS hands. Donuts is greedy and in long run meesing up domain space. MLS would have done so much more with they reach in MLS, but to outbid them is to do the disservice to everyone. I find this very off putting.
