.Science just launched into general availability this morning and at least one register is allowing you to register them for free.
Alpnames.com isn’t advertising it on the front of their site, but if you try to register a .Science domain name you will see the cost is $0.00.
By comparison Godaddy.com is charging $9.99 for a .Science registration.
I don’t know what the limits are or how long it will last.
I am reminded of a much lesser version of the free .info promotion several years ago which launched .info into the ground
