Danica Patrick Not Happy That Go Daddy Ad Got Pulled

February 13, 2015 by Raymond Hackney

Webpronews ran a story on Danica Patrick talked about being upset that her Super Bowl ad got pulled, the ad which Michael published when it was first released, broke traffic records for this blog, the one day total was more than most blogs do in a month, that is how much people were emotionally invested in discussing the puppy, the ad, and the controversial nature of puppy mills. The article says that Danica Patrick was left feeling jaded, Danica gave comments to USA Today about not appearing in a record 14th Super Bowl Ad.

She said, “I don’t think anything in this culture surprises me anymore. People have opinions about everything and especially when you get into that world of animal rights or tree rights or whatever rights, they all have an opinion.”

She went on to say that she bought her dog online, a miniature Siberian Husky named Dallas.

“I looked to find my dog online,” she said. “Sorry. I did. I love my dog and I take great care of her.”

    As does she apparently.

The problem with the love she feels for her puppy though is a distinct lack of concern over the mother which may be bred to death to supply enough puppies to those that only care about the puppies.

@janedoe, How do you know that?

What you describe does happen, but you have no idea if that’s the case here.
To lump all breeders into the category of puppy mills harms your credibility and weakens support for real efforts to get rid of real puppy mills.

      Use your head.

Oh, I know not all breeders are a problem, the issue is her statement that she got her puppy and loves her puppy and that is what counts.

The problem is that such a statement is shortsighted and demonstrates part of the problem with the process.

The story is she is annoyed at the ad not being aired and making a record 14th showing and the response which is aimed at belittling the reason for the ad being pulled was that she got her puppy and she loves her puppy while brushing objections aside with a statement that everyone has opinions when it comes to stuff like Animal Rights and Tree Rights.

I simply threw a response in as a counter to “I got my puppy, etc”, and didn’t feel the need to write beyond “_MAY_ be bred” to highlight the potential downside of the situation and the reason why the ad was pulled (Main reason being bad PR if it went ahead when you get right down to it)
