Auctions.com Reserve Price At Namescon is Around What Auction.com Sold For 6 Years Ago

January 9, 2015 by Michael Berkens

Back just about six years ago to the date the domain name Auction.com sold for $1.7 Million dollars to Real Estate Disposition Corporation (REDC)

Next Tuesday at the RightoftheDot.com domain name auction at Namescon, the domain name Auctions.com will up for sale and the reserve price is right around that same price that Auction.com sold for 6 years ago.

Of course REDC has grown its business tremendously since acquiring Auction.com six years ago the company is now the largest online real estate dealer in the U.S and has sold $25 Billion Dollars in Real Estate.

The domain name Auctions.com is simply a bargain.

As most of us know the value of true generic domain names have continued to rise in value dramatically over the last six years.

Consider that the domain name LT.com sold the year earlier than Auction.com, in 2008 for just $100K.  People in the domain space will tell you the domain LT.com is worth at a minimum 7 figures or at least 10x more than it sold for 7 years ago.

Consider that generally speaking, the plural of a generic domain is better than the singular.

Cars.com Vs. Car.com, Computers.com Vs. Computer, Tablets.com Vs. Tablet.com and it seems like Auctions.com maybe the best buy of the RightoftheDot.com at Namescon domain auction.

The domain has a stated bidding range of $1 Million- $5 Million in the catalog, but we have been authorized by the owner of the domain name to clarify that the actual reserve price of this domain is very close to what Auction.com sold for six years ago making it one of the best buys in the domain auction in our opinion.

If Auctions.com is still too rich for your blood, the domain name CarAuctions.com is in the reserve range of $50,000-$100,000.

According to Estibot,  CarAuctions.com has a value of $228K.

There are a ton of collectible car auctions held every year where frankly $50-$100K isn’t going to buy you much.

In the Barrett-Jackson 2014 Scottsdale car auction they had 300,000 spectators in attendance, and $113 million in sales.

Of course that is just one of many Car Auctions that Barrett-Jackson runs a year, and that Barrett-Jackson is just one of hundreds of car auctions held around the world every year.

Its a huge dollar category killer with a reserve price between $50K-$100K making CarAuctions.com another one of our best buys from the RightoftheDot.com at Namescon domain auction.

The auction will be held at between 4:30-7:30 PM PST on Tuesday January 13th live from Las Vegas.

Remote bidding will be available on Snapnames.com and pre-bidding is already opened on Snapnames.com

If you don’t have a SnapNames.com account and are even thinking about bidding or just planning on watching the live auction remotely, go signup for an account today so you can be approved and ready to go by Tuesday.
