Another new product announced today by Apple Computer today, what many people have been referring to as the iWatch, isn’t going to be called the iWatch at all, but the Apple Watch.

Like in the case of the Apple Pay product, Apple Computer does not own the matching .Com domain name for this product either, AppleWatch.com.

Unlike ApplePay.com however the domain name AppleWatch.com is going to a parked page.

The domain name AppleWatch.com was registered over 10 years ago on February 15, 2004.

There does not seem to be a trademark for term Apple Watch in the USPTO.

However the domain is parked with the first result beingĀ  “Apple Watches” already listed on the left hand side and would not be suprised to see a lot more results soon directed at Apple products.

The domain name AppleWatch.com does not have an Alexa, Compete.com or Quantcast.com at the moment so it will be interesting to see how or if that that changes.

Which brings us back to the question of whether Apple file a UDRP to attempt to grab the domain and if so will they win the case?

Now the domain is forwarding to the owners Twitter page. https://twitter.com/arnoldkim

Unfortunately as we pointed out, well Mr Berryhill points out, WIPO sends the screenshots to the panel do I’m not sure changing the page after the Apple announcement & my blog post is going to help

Mr. Berryhill pointed out that WIPO takes a screenshot on receipt of the complaint. Sounds like Arnold Kim (twitter which Applewatch now points to) took advantage of your prescience and redirected his domain right on time!

theDomains has more readers than the folks who comment here, it appears . . . I wonder what your world-wide readership is of those who benefit but prefer to stay anonymous?

There should be a law against “parking” pages as domains should be the same treated as trademarks, I have 2 trademarks, I had to prove I was using them and I have to keep using them if I want to keep them or get cancelled by someone, domain names should be under the same treatment. use it or loose it.

Apple will first make an offer of one million dollars(cheap bastards)…then applewatch.com owner will counter with 5 million dollars(greedy bastards)…

then Apple will payoff the 3 member panel privately one million dollars each(thieves)…

    final result:
Applewatch.com owner loses domain in udrp(surprised).
Apple.com gets domain AppleWatch.com for $3M under the table money(Tim cRook laughs)
3 panel members go on vacation(easy money)
