It appears the domain name Peep.com changed hand this year.

The domain name that has been owned under privacy for many years, moved to Godaddy.com in May.

The domain has been a parked page for many years as well but as you can see from the screenshot, its now the home of the Peep App.

We don;t know what the domain sold for but a couple of similar domain names, PeepingTom.com sold for $20,000 back in December 2011 and Peep.me sold for $11,750 back in 2013 according to dnpric.es

It used to be Peep.me. An app that’s similar to snapchat and Bolt. This app’s most likely headed for acquisition-land. I believe it’s funded by the same group that funded Twitter in the super seed or Series A round.

Just received funding of 3.4 million on August 4 of this year and 1.2 mil back in March.

How often do we hear — from pundits, bloggers, and buyers angling for cheaper prices — that domains aren’t as relevant in an age of mobile apps?

Yet companies behind those apps continue to buy domains!
