Ntldstats.com updated their  “Registrant Breakdown” I thought it would be interesting to see who is the top 25 as we now have been live for just over four months.

These guys continue to do a great job and the same goes for Andy at Namestat.org

    I see Rick Schwartz is on the list.
    I would like to know when he registered first new gTLD.
    I would not be surprised if he at the same time was registering them and talking how bad they were.
    I heard his explanation on DomainSherpa why he registered them – it was really stupid explanation.

    My registrations are off by more than 50 so also not sure when it was updated last

    We took a look into the incorrect count problem. To count contacts as unique, we combine the fields “name” and “organization” – result of this an offset if we only would count “name”.

    I will try to find a better solution for this issue to produce precise results.

    I’d like to hear Mike’s take on the legality of publishing such personalized information, derived from individual WHOIS records. This definitely violates the European privacy laws. In the US we’re used to having our info jerked around by corporations – and the government – but still, it does not make it legal. Also, this type of disclosure might be violating the T&C’s of granting access to the zone files.
