The new gTLD .Foundation seems to be a big hit with some big charitable organizations.
From Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg’s foundation to Autism to Breast Cancer to Ronald Regan, to Glaucoma and even Rockefeller, a lot of charities hopped on board and registered a .Foundation domain name in Sunrise.
Some charities I wasn’t even aware of until I read through the Zone file like Chickfila which registered 6 domain names related to its Foundation including chickfilacows.foundation and eatmorechicken.foundation.
I saw a few brand holders participating in Sunrise that I have not seen before like Lego and the AmericanFamily.foundation
There were a lot of generic terms awarded in Sunrise, probably more than I have seen before and probably is an indication of what is to come.

I don’t think these qualify as a “hit”
I don’t think a sunrise registration can be interpreted as anything but defensive until and unless you see some actual use.
Erik Ludwick got travel.foundation among others with their so called marks…. Let the bs continue I convinced the gtlds are total cash grab, with the rules changing every 2 weeks. What Box continues to ride this nonsense, he is also part of the DNA who seem to be after contention funds also, never saw so many pigs until the gtlds came out.
Well right now they can’t be used until the extension is live.
I can only conclude what I can from the Zone file Vs. others I have seen
I tend to agree this is just it depts spending other people’s money to retain defensive marks that most likely will be forwarded to a .com.
