Heritage Auctions who is scheduled to run their second ever domain auction on April 9, took out an ad in the New York Times. Its nice to see Aron Meystedt and HA do the types of things that many domainers have wanted other auction houses to do for years. Spend some money and do mainstream advertising outside the domain industry. This is a nationwide circulation ad, which according to Wikipedia is 1,865,318 as of March 2013.
Here is the ad:
Actual look at the newspaper:
Good to see some active marketing. This is what I call “They earn their commission”. However, they should have picked up some better names
Wayside.com, lunatic.com (lot’s of TM’s), DarkCastle.com and Jeremiah are very weak imho.
…GOOD EFFORT.
I wonder if using the Wall Street Journal or Financial Times would have been better, though…
finally someone deserving their commission! not even Traffic gets my thumbs up
Glad to see them run an ad like this. Good luck on the auction.
It’s good to see – I have some names in the auction
