Larry Smith: CambridgeMovers.com Is Not Very Much in Relation to EyemakeUpRemovers.com

March 10, 2014 by Michael Berkens

The start of another week and already I have a nice set of spam emails.

Sure I get many of these every day and 99.99% I send into trash without regard but this one caught my eye based off the domain listed (which isn’t a bad domain) just a bad message

“”Hello Worldwide Media Inc.

My Name is Larry and I am representing the potential sale of CambridgeMovers.com

We realized you may be interested because you currently own eyemakeupremovers.com which seems to be very much in relation to CambridgeMovers.com.

We have it listed in Auction through Sedo.com (The biggest domain marketplace on earth) – you can check the auction following this link: http://sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&trackingRequestId=57842494&trackingOrigin=2&auction_id=169708&tracked=&partnerid=&language=us

We listed it at NO reserve ( 99 Euros), so all the risk is on us – at the moment (At the time of sending this email) there were no bids and only a little more than a Day for the auction to end.

Our investment in CambridgeMovers.com was on the high 4 figures level purchase point and yet it’s listed at 99 Euros (No reserve).

Keep in mind that if you are NOT a member with Sedo.com , registering a free account is only a couple of steps away. Please feel free to get back to me if you need any help or have any question.

Wish you all the best,

Thanks,
Larry S.

I got the same email word for word during the weekend for a different domain name. although in my case there was at least some relation to the domain I already owned.

Hey Guys, I would like to apologize about the frustration this has caused. I own CambridgeMovers and I currently have 200+ domains on Sedo’s weekly auction – I was too lazy to try and post in the forums and get the most possible attention to my domains because I made the call to list them all at 99 each, so I gave the “go ahead” to the first guy who offered to help while I was promised that ONLY endusers would be contacted and “Manually” in return to 30% of any sales. Anyhow, He obviously used Estibot’s DBs and emailed them ALL – His email is on my dedicated server and I can see the logs.

Again, Sorry for the inconvenience this has cayse.

Received the same one and I do have a similar one. It is a good name. Many real companies would benefit using it.

    Hello Web Entertainment Service.

My Name is Larry and I am representing the potential sale of vlc.us – We realized you may be interested because you currently own vlcnetwork.com which seems to be very much in relation to vlc.us.

We have it listed in Auction through Sedo.com (The biggest domain marketplace on earth) – you can check the auction following this link: http://sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&trackingRequestId=57768418&trackingOrigin=2&auction_id=169702&tracked=&partnerid=&language=us

We listed it at NO reserve ( 99 Euros), so all the risk is on us – at the moment (At the time of sending this email) there were no bids and only a little more than a Day for the auction to end.

    Sample similar previous sales:
    hhp.us Sold for $2,740 USD
    twa.us Sold for $1,268 USD
    sks.us Sold for $1,000 USD
    ctp.us Sold for $1,500 USD
    mov.us Sold for $1,200 USD

And many many more similar sales …

Our investment in vlc.us was on the high 4 figures level and yet it’s listed at 99 Euros (No reserve).

    This says it all:
“Our company Nameless LLC assists companies or individuals to get domains that they might need.
In our reserach we saw that you own aulander.com, so we thought calaulator.com could be interesting for you as well.
