Roy Messer Sells BigBreakfast.com To IAC/InterActiveCorp

October 19, 2013 by Michael Berkens

Domain investor Roy Messer’s Nett Corp, which sold Vodka.com for $3 million dollars a few years back, just sold the domain name BigBreakfast.Com to a public company.

If your thinking McDonalds or one of the restaurant groups bought the domain you would be wrong.

The domain instead was bought by IAC/InterActiveCorp which owns many of the most popular web properties including Match.com, Ask.com and About.com.

Of course Roy may have not know who was buying the domain since it appeared to be bought by an agent or representative of  the ultimate buyer, a  Jonathan Cohen of New York, who uses the email address of  connectedventures.com

It was just a few days after Mr. Cohen obtained the domain, that the domain was transferred to Brand Protection company MarkMonitor.com and has  IAC/InterActiveCorp as the owner.

It will be interesting to see what IAC does with the domain name.

While the domain on the face of it should be food related its one of those domains since its well known term could be for almost anything.

Another nice brandable domain bought by a huge company.

As I keep saying guys do not sell your brandable domains cheap.

Knowing Roy, I’m sure he did not.

    Domain Reference frames / Brands = valuable openings – compare;
