Afternic To Provide New gTLD .Kiwi Reserve Lists Of Premium Domains

July 25, 2013 by Michael Berkens

Afternic, today announced a strategic partnership with Dot Kiwi Ltd, the applicant for the new Top Level Domain (TLD) .KIWI.  Afternic has been selected by Dot Kiwi to  to create reserve lists for their new TLD and “provide definition and valuation services for .KIWI premium domains, expected to launch in late 2013”.

The .KIWI registry will offer New Zealand businesses greater branding creativity and the opportunity to differentiate themselves from competitors through the .KIWI TLD. It will be a domain for New Zealand, providing a fresh, modern online identity for all Kiwis, at home, at work and abroad.

KIWI will be offering Sunrise and Landrush auctions in the coming months, with domains available to the general public shortly thereafter.

About Dot Kiwi, LTD

Dot Kiwi Ltd is an innovative New Zealand company that is set to lead the world in one of the most significant changes to the Internet. In 2013, Dot Kiwi Ltd will launch the .kiwi top level domain, driven by a passion to see Kiwi’s and Kiwi organisations visible on the global stage. What Dot Kiwi is doing has never been done in New Zealand and for the first time in history, New Zealanders will have a relevant choice for domain names – Kiwis will finally be able to be Kiwis online.

Dot Kiwi Ltd is governed by a prominent Board of Directors and is located in Auckland, New Zealand.  With a low (331) priority number, no objections, no contention and no Category 1 or 2 GAC Advice, .KIWI is set to be in the first tranche of new gTLDs launched. It will be an open gTLD with no registration restrictions.
