UDRP Roundup: Oprah Gets Control Over 2 Domains & Walmart Gets 53 Domains

There were several interesting UDRP  results today as Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo, Inc./Oprah’s Farm, LLC won a UDRP to the right to the domain names oprahsfarm.com and oprahsfarm.net

The Euro Watergate Hotel Residences, LLC Watergate Holdings, LLC UDRP for the domain names  and watergatehotel.com and thewatergatehotel.com was terminated with the transfer of the domains to the lawfirm presumably representing the complainant Tucker & Latifi LLP.

Walmart gained control of 53 domain names in one UDRP:

    Registrars should be held accountable to filter obvious trademark domains from being registered in the first place! I wonder what percentage of registrars’ income is trademark violation-derived . . .

    Walmart Labs is on top of mobile and internet, one of Walmart’s prime access of its customers, making its page load fast, and its search results relevant. It has a mobile website, though it didn’t convert to responsive theme, yet, and it owns:

    BasicTalk.com

    which it is promoting via tv commercial, as of today. Therefore, Walmart gets domains.
