Bidding on MUI.com Hits $25K On Namejet With a Day To Go

June 3, 2013 by Michael Berkens

The domain name MUI.com is at auction at NameJet.com and bidding and already has a high bid of $24,999.

The auction has 265 bidders and there are 15 bidders that placed a bid of $1,000 or more.

The domain name MUI.com is owned by Tucows.com but was placed into the NameJet.com auction with No Reserve.

The domain currently is going to a landing page all related to Microsoft.

Like any other three letter domain there are a lot of things they can stand for but the most common meaning is for Multilingual User Interface which is the name of “Microsoft technology for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and other applications that allows for the installation of multiple interface languages on a single system.”

However Microsoft does not seem to have a registered trademark for MUI with the USPTO nor does it have a registered trademark for the term Multilingual User Interface.

We will let you know how this one turns out

    Muy in Spanish Very ?

Seems like a pretty decent price to sell it at in an auction – yes ?

Mui.com – which means nothing is what sold for $25K
Muy is the Spanish word for Very.
I think the seller got more than $15K more than what it was worth.
This was an $8K domain in my book
