Which was applied for by the Xinhua News Agency and had a prioritization number of 1,772
The English equivalent for the IDN string is: Guangdong
The applicant has one other new gTLD application submitted with ICANN which is the IDN of 新闻, which is the English equivalent of the word: News. That application has a prioritization number of 29 and has already passed ICANN initial evaluation.
The next batch of 100 initial evaluation of new gTLD applications are expected to be released by ICANN on Friday
