TIP: NNNNN.com’s Are Getting Hot & Getting A Lot of Interest From Asian Buyers

March 10, 2013 by Michael Berkens

We own over 100 NNNNN.com domain names.

All happen to be zip codes as well.

Over the last few years we haven’t gotten of any offers or interest on any of those domain names, but over the past couple of months interest in NNNNN.com domains have really picked up to the point where almost not a day goes by without an email of interest on one or more of these domains.

All the offers are coming in from Asia, and while their love of numerical domains is nothing news but the interest in 5 numbered domain names is something that is gaining a lot of steam.

Another sure sign that NNNNN.com’s are getting a lot of interest from the Asian market are the landing pages which are filling up more and more with keyword suggestions for the term in Asian Characters.

Right now offers are ranging in the $xxx to the low $x,xxx but the interest is just starting and is trending well.

So it seems the best buyers for Zip Codes isn’t Marchex or Geo buyers but the Asian market.

Anyone seeing similar interest in any NNNNN.com domain name you own?

Yes – didn’t marchex get a bunch of zip codes from the ultimate search deal.
I do not have many numbers but 1159.com gets an inquiry 2-3 times a week – all we have determined to be from china. After getting massive $575 offers, we no long respond – just not worth the brain damage

Getting lots of offers for my llll when I know they own the dot net.

The Chinese are coming…the Chinese are coming, this is one good way the govt to control the internet, buy all the domains

    I told you so!

    Brian

NNNN.com or 4 numbered .com’s have always gotten offers from Asia not just China and those are worth five figures all day.

I’m talking about 5 numbered .com domains

Yes BullS – a few decent offers for the LLLL.com domains – They are going for 2-3 times what the used to at NameJet.

Just sold Dola.com for $28,500 – I thought that was a good number to sell.

Folks, you guys have to understand, the internet is just less than 10 yrs old and the world of domains is just a “month” old baby.

the rest of the world is just starting to understand the power of DOMAINS and the value will RISE each second.

Things will take off like no tomorrow ……

I have only a couple NNNNN, all have “lucky” numbers in them.

They do get weekly offers, all from Asia. …some more than the others.

I started noticing more spam or bulk mails, especially last week.

Usually lower level $$$ range offers.

They also get lots of traffic…that’s the big surprise.

    All positive points.

Thanks for the heads up Michael. We have received multiple offers on our 5N.com as well starting ~3 mounts ago, but only for $100-$200. Reminds me of the 4N.com prices/inquiry action right before that market spiked up in price.

We had a buyer from China for our domain 24th.com but they had delayed sending payment over and over until finally being completely unresponsive. Prior to that, I had figured it was a name that would appeal to Chinese buyers but wasn’t sure given the letters in it. I’m guessing another buyer won’t be far behind, though the sale that prompted us to consider selling it was a $14,300 sale in late 2011 to an American company.

I figured once the NNN.com and NNNN.com markets got tight, that the next thing would be NNNNN.com. There are only 100,000 of them, which really isn’t many considering numbers are understood across most languages and cultures, and some are already being used. I bought a bunch years ago, let some drop and still have some. I made a point of having numbers that include 6, 8, 9 which are lucky chinese numbers, and no 4’s. Zip codes probably don’t matter to Asian buyers. Never had an offer yet, get a little traffic, but will hold and maybe pick up a few more. Are NNNNN.com all taken now?

5 figures on NNNN.com names, all day ? really ? Not seeing that.
Mike do the NNNNN.com you are getting interest in have repeating digits or any other revealing info. I’ve got one that keeps getting inquiries and it’s got some repeating digits.

    Adam

    Both repeating digits more

Yes definitely noted an uplift of interest (and sales) here (Dotcom Agency) in the last 8 weeks for number dotcom domains.
We are seeing a strong demand with buyers at these levels at the moment…
You could sell your entire inventory at these prices…
    nn.com min $150k
    nnn.com min $12.5k
nnnn.com min $2k (not seeing five figures here yet on these either)
    nnnnn.com min $300
With a significant uplift in values for numbers without a “4” and special numbers (ie repeating digits etc)

    @ianandrew
There’s at least 20 nnnnn.com dropping just today, many of which with no 4 etc.
If they were sellable for $300 without any trouble why havent you backordered them, just asking?

    March 11, 2013 at 8:45 am

I confess to having much more experience in the nn, nnn, and nnnn.com prices and sales than nnnnn.com. So probably my $300 figure is too high for those.

if the offers are coming from Asia it might mean those numbers have a meaning, not all do, I believe some even have a negative connotation…
    Lucky or unlucky?

Simmilar to Kabbalah or the 777 and 888 sequence.

I wonder how many lemmings ran to register worthless nnnnn ?
