Name.com Joins Sedo MLS Program

September 19, 2012 by Michael Berkens

Sedo, today announced that Name.com expanded their SedoMLS partnership, enabling them to provide their customers access to millions of premium domains that are listed on Sedo’s domain marketplace.

As one of the world’s leading domain registrars, Name.com offers customers the ability to register domain names for the first time. By joining SedoMLS as a Premium partner, they have made it even easier and more convenient for customers to find the right name, even if it is already registered, directly at their website.

“For nearly a decade Name.com’s mission has been to provide our customers with the best tools to find the right domain for their project or business,” said Name.com’s Scott McBreen, Domain Operations Manager. “Trying to find a domain specific to your needs that isn’t already registered is often challenging, but these searches may not take into account the millions of premium domains available for sale. By offering SedoMLS, we are greatly improving our customers’ ability to find the best domain. We are excited to offer SedoMLS as another great option for all of our customers to get the perfect domain.”

SedoMLS is the world’s largest domain distribution network with more than 80 partners including Name.com and many of the world’s top registrars. By integrating with SedoMLS, customers who search for domains at Name.com will be presented with matches from Sedo’s inventory of 16 million premium names, giving them an increased chance of finding the one that they need.

Sellers who list domains in the Sedo marketplace with a “Buy Now” option will automatically have their names distributed through the SedoMLS network, giving them access to more potential buyers.

“We’re thrilled to partner with a leading registrar like Name.com to offer an even greater choice of names for their customers,” said Sedo’s CEO, Tobias Flaitz. “Sometimes, the right name for a business or another domain end user has already been registered. By providing access to Sedo’s marketplace of names, our SedoMLS partners like Name.com make it simpler and faster for buyers around the world to get the name they really want, without leaving their registrar’s website.”
