Sedo.com just announced its sales data for the week ending September 17th, 2012. In all over $2.7MM of domains were sold. The top seller was NewOne.org at $30,000 followed by preisvergleich.net for 16,000 EUR.
In all 776 domains were sold. 40% of total sales were the result of Buy Now listings.

Wow @ almost all of the .org sales on that list, especially NewOne.org and LeanIn.org hitting 5-figures. Doubt most would expect either of those names to sell for what they did in .com let alone .org!

ANYONE that says hand registering does not sell domains is a fool!!!! Hypens, numbers, misspells it’s all there>>> PURE FUC*ING TRASH! Who buys these “domains” and are they under doctors supervision???? God please tell me somebody knows better or is the “domain community” to scared to speak up? Don – The sellers of those names laugh all the way to the bank. While these are ‘pigeon shit’ from a narrow-minded domainer’s standpoint, they did sell. In which case, ka-ching! is what matters.

Domain MLS’ platforms are the best thing ever happened to domains.
If your traffic is unproductive (low RPM) it makes sense to point the domain to a sales page rather than parking EMO …
ok ok i am just mad mine aren’t selling. My thought is how does one hold onto multiple thousands of domains and sleep at night knowing 98.9% will never sell no matter how good….seems like the domains that sell i would not even hand register…and i have been at this 7 years…and acro you got a killer .net !!! BTW i have 15+ info. .com,.us,.net meso’s and asbestos worth 90-135 dollars a click…ANYBODY WANT SOME?????
