MostWantedDomains.com Brokers The Sale Of JEU.TV For $50K

April 2, 2012 by Michael Berkens

We are proud to announce MostWantedDomains.com has successfully brokered the domain name Jeu.Tv  for $50,000.

Jeu translated from French is the word “Game”

Just to be clear this is not a domain we owned but one of the few clients we broker domain names for.

According to Legacy Fund the owners of the .Tv domain name  “.TV is gaining a lot of momentum in Europe and other countries outside the US.”

“End users and companies are continuing to adopt the extension as a viable method to spread the word about their business.”

Legacy Fund recent turned down an offer MostWantedDomains.com negotiated on their behalf for “over a six figures” on another .TV domain name.

Congrats to the buyers and sellers

Awesome sale!!! .TV is starting to really shine.

This extension ascension (ha, ha that rhymes!) would have happened a decade ago if it were not for the stupid, greedy prices put on them in the beginning. Thankfully, that has been mostly fixed.

    Go .tv, go !!!

Who do I contact to have MWD market a domain for me?

    Important point…

“.TV is gaining a lot of momentum in Europe and other countries outside the US.”

GAMES IMO is a better keyword than GAME but it is still nice to hear of a foreign-language .TV selling for five-figures…

Great news and great deal for the buyer. Lots of .tv’s showing up in ads lately. Again Carlos didn’t choose Ora.tv because he couldn’t afford Ora.com he wanted tne .tv!

    Mike,

You realize that if you keep having these successes, and keep talking about it without doing anything to help the average domainer, that you are practically showing off? How do you get to work together and make others equally successful. Obviously this domain you brokered should not make anyone go out to buy .TV names, because this could simply be an aberration, or even something more sinister. I recall you selling a .Me too for over 450,000.00. These are all incredible stuff. And like my grand Daddy told me, be careful with anyone that constantly sees the biggest monster when they are alone.

So, are you suggesting domainers should go out and buy .TV names now?

  19. .tv says

    April 3, 2012 at 1:41 am

@Uzoma , dude why not say congratulations.

Don’t be jealous, or your blog rants. You got a lot to learn.

  20. Ron says

    April 3, 2012 at 1:45 am

I agree this has more to do with the translation of the domain being game, which is a highly sought after keyword in any extension, rather than the .tv tld…

  21. Are these comments for real says

    April 3, 2012 at 1:53 am

Uzoma Berkens owes you nothing, your comment was an exercise in douchebaggery. Where did Berkens say go out and buy .tv he reported a sale he brokered.

@Ron you are right Jeu.cx would sell for the same amount, nothing to do with .tv, absolutely.

  22. Michael H. Berkens says

    April 3, 2012 at 2:00 am

    Uzoma

I’m pretty sure we had this discussion before, but when I or anyone else sells or brokers a domain for a nice chunk of change as far as I’m concerned it helps all domainers.

If you want to hate on someone hate on those that sell good domains for dirt cheap prices, those sales are what buyers use to argue that your domains are worth less

  23. LindaM says

    April 3, 2012 at 2:05 am

Great job, congrats to buyer and seller.

“this has more to do with the translation of the domain being game, which is a highly sought after keyword in any extension, rather than the .tv tld…” – really? Well I guess noone else particularly agrees because “JEU” remains available this morning in a plethora of other extensions.

Yeah this is nothing to do with .tv – move along everyone, nothing to see here 🙂

    Great sale and smart negotiating!

I gotta feeling that this is happening more often because of the advances in 21st century technology that also takes cyberspace outta the home and offices additionally creating a mobile experience.

I have a few select names I would love to have the man broker for me as well. I know there will be an avalanche of requests from many others as well…

Again, good show and also a great deal for the buyer as well as the seller by the way…

@Uzoma, I been in this business since 1997, buying .tv since 2000, and personally know Michael. He does so much for all of us, instead of critizing, you can learn something from him. I have sure have and done very well.

.TV has been hot for some time, I have sold many including mid-5-figures, but were NDA, all types, all languages, and so of many of my fellow .tv friends. I came from the .com world, but by far the best ROI in the last 2 years has been in .TV.

  34. windy city says

    April 3, 2012 at 9:32 am

…reminds me of the old saying (paraphrased)…

Nothing stops an idea who’s time has come. Looks like the .tv extension is arriving at the station!

.TV sales are much higher than .co on the mid-to-top end of the range.

    Good sale by mostwanted,.

The fact it is though it is an outlier in the extreme.

Cue all the talk by .tv hopefuls about the extension being “about to explode”, “this is just the start”, “people are going to do really well with LLL.tv”, etc etc which we hear after the bi-annual .tv “good sale”.
