According to a press release, A new website marketplace launched yesterday called gFlip.net.
gFlip promises to allow their users to list and sell there websites completely free of charge.
“Marketplaces like Flippa charge sellers listing fees and success fees, gFlip has eliminated all these fees making there services completely free of charge.”
“gFlip is the worlds first completely free website marketplace which connects buyers and sellers from all around the world who are interested in buying or selling websites.”
This means that you can now list your website on gFlip totally free, and they don’t charge success fees, which are the fees charged when a property sells successfully on a website marketplace.
gFlip is now the world’s first completely free website marketplace.”
So this is an interesting one in a field dominated for domain sales by Sedo.com, Afternic.com and Namejet.com and for websites Flippa.com
Others in the field include Aftermarket.com and Bido.com
At the end of the day sellers need buyers and want the highest price for their domain, while buyers typically don’t pay fees.
I;m not sure what the business model of working for free is but I guess we will find out.
Just to note another party owns the domain name gFlip.com
Hmmm … perchance they be hoping to make it up in volume.
This site may destroy some of the bigger website marketplaces but they need to start getting people listing there websites.
They are getting good press release and traffic so people listing there websites for sale at gFlip shouldn’t have a problem selling them.
Looks like a nice site BUT no inventory? Not even a single domain name for sale? If your going to go thru that much trouble building/promoting a site atleast have something of interest to look at. Guess they are waiting for someone else to get the site going.
They should buy the first domain listed, odds are that it sounds better then gflip, lol.
it’s not the first site of this kind, there is also an italian site (with an english section) that allow to sell websites and domains at zero costs (and where I offer some of my domains on sale, but, unfortunately, this domains marketplace it’s not mine)
en . TradeYourWebsite . com
but my attempt to list a domain for sale has failed since I must “buy credits” before …
Apparently it isn’t free. You have to buy “Credits” to list an auction. Don’t know how much they cost, navigation isn’t the friendliest.
Domain registered on 8/31, PR 2 days later, no inventory.
This is no news. Next!
Very confusing site. I’m not sure how they can call it free when you have to buy credits to list a name.
I guess its free except for the charges
then… it’s NOT 100% free … 🙂
I contacted support and they have fixed the issue. They said they are new and have a few bugs and to bare with them as they work them out.
I’ve bought a $1 credit and now the system works and has accepted my first two auctions!
vitameatavegamin.com… i see what you’re gettin’ at. even when you post stupid stuff you’re still the best domain blogger in the business.
p.s… i’ve been in the domain business for 14 years…. could you lend me ten dollars for some food?
Dont need to deposit $1 anymore. They fixed the issue. Its completely free.
As most people know, Adam Dicker offers a semi free transaction service.
ShowcaseManager,com offers free transaction cost.
However, you have to pay a minor annual fee.
Which is far less than continuously paying 15-20-30% commission to the other guys.
It just started. So, I’m not sure of the track record.
At least you have a well known and respected person compared to a newbie.
I recently noticed that Sedo went from 10 to 15% commission.
With a 50% increase in commission, what add’l benefit did I receive?
Problem with so many auction sites are the buyers. Most of them got less buyers and more sellers. And some of these auction sites allow TM domains to be sold. Ex flippa.com
people are free to buy TM domains, just knowing they risk to lose the domains (and the money) later
Only
People are free to rob a bank as well
if the owner of the TM doesn’t want a domain, it’s a “public domain” domain, while, if he wants it, may have it for free and the owner of the TM domain lose the money paid to buy it
Exdon.com is a free buying and selling site and has been around for a few years.
anyhow, about gFliP, there is (at least) one advantage to sell domains on a just born site: the high visibility
I’ve just listed two domains on gFliP and I’ve already collected 20 views!
Only
Thats because us domainers are looking at the site now!!
Hello everyone,
I am the owner of gFlip and i ran across this article when searching gFlip.net on google. Its nice to see all these comments and we have fixed the bug asking you to deposit credits before you list your website.
If you guys run into any more problems or have suggestions please email us at support@gFlip.net
Thanks
Also, we currently have 3 advertisement campaigns at a budget of $2500. We are trying our best to get more people to join and list there websites as well as get buyers to join so we can equalize the market. Please remember this is mainly a free service and we are doing our best with the advertising.
Marco
Thanks for checking in
So what is your business model, how are you going to make money if your not charging buyers or sellers?
The bug isn’t fixed. It still wants me to buy credits.
Hello MHB,
Im not in this venture to make profit but to create a marketplace for buyers & sellers. Flippa charges $20 to list your website and on top of that they charge a success fee. After my first sale on Flippa I was completely annoyed by all these fees. So, i decided to create a free marketplace. I will make money from selling my own websites just like the other users.
Thanks
Hello Mike H,
You have to create a new account. Your old account wont work.
This goes for all the users having problems. Please create a new account in which you will receive 1 free credit. This will allow you to list for free as many times as you like.
personally, I like everything is 100% free of charge, so, I like gFliP 🙂
Dear, [][] only domains with a meaning [][]
I see you had to buy a credit. What is you username? I will credit your account with 50 free credits which you can spend upgrading your auction.
thanks, Marco, my username is gaetanomarano
Thanks Marco, I listed an aged brandable; LostAcre.com
MHB–sometimes it is not About making money, it is called giving back to the society.
Your Karma and esp your doggie will be far “richer” under Father Domainicus’s eyes.
So my friends, one needs a different perspective and vision.
Buddha Bless you all.
“So what is your business model, how are you going to make money if your not charging buyers or sellers”
Bull
I agree if he’s just doing it to give back good for him.
Thanks for supporting everyone.
MHB—look at “BullS” site, it has impacted so many peoples’ life when they read the “BullS” company’s mission statement.
Many people have written to me that they have saved so much money after coming to my site and they even donate money to me.
You see, $$$$$ will flow in when you provide good karma.
There are already some nice keyword .tv’s on gflip – priced for end-users though:(
Nice to see all the new domains on gFlip. Thanks
Marco Hardman —how do I make a listing to sell?
Not user friendly.
Hello BullS,
Simply create an account and click the “create auction” button at the top of the page and follow the steps.
I am extremely happy in the direction gFlip is going but we have a lot more sellers than buyers. Can someone give me any idea on how i can expose this website to more to buyers.
Marco Hardman— advertise on this site and on my “BullS” site- you definitely will get lots of traffic
“more buyers”
it’s easy
just find a buyer fo one of my two domains on sale on your site
then, submit a paid Press Release of this sale on prweb.com prnewswire.com etc.
within few days your site should be full of sellers and buyers, you might have no time to sleep
when google started earlier in the decade they didn’t have a business model.[1] they just had an idea about how to do something differently (and in their opinion, better). that “something” was how to order search listings by “relevance”.
[1] email service, aka googlemail, aka gmail, and later ads in email, soon extended to ads in search results, came later, from a new employee. it provided an answer to the inevitable question: what’s your business model? but that answer didn’t exist in the beginning.
maybe the most important thing is traffic (popularity). then comes business model.
maybe marco had an itch (fees on auction sites) and just decided to scratch it. maybe not. whatever the case, this is just an example of how easy it is to “move the free line”.
Congrats on a nice design, @ Marco Hardman! The search is a practical feature that Flippa doesn’t have. I typed in, “.tv” and the dot tv extension domains appeared in the results.
To distinguish the other Louise from me, I always post with one of my company logos.
Advertise your site on this site thedomains.com and also domaining.com
good luck!
you should have bought gflip.com before you started this project.
my stupid question: what does the “g” stand for in gflip?
Also advertise on DomainSherpa.com … this site is taking off … ask them if you can advertise in the interviews.
gflip.com has been registered in 2010 but now it seem be on sale
If another “Louise” starts posting comments on theDomains, I’m going to deliver a big gift, and quit posting here.
Thanks for the advice everyone
not always is good to be the first … I’m the first that has listed domains on sale on gFliP but now my domains are in the last page … 🙁
I think this gflipper is a grate site. I hope to sell all of the worthless domains I’ve spent my hard earned money on.
Marco Hardman,
How about a way to sort by number of views & price? This wood be helpfull.
and less space between domains listed, to have more domains per page
You might want to list gflip on Flippa and all the users will come to your site.
it may be interesting to add a page with only the auctions that have received a bid
I knew that is something fishy on this…
Nothing is free. Oh well, gflip or gflop another scammy BS site

Create an Auction
You do not have enough credits to create an auction. You can order more here. You need 50
Hello BullS,
I have already addressed this many times. You need to have atleast 1 credit in your account to list as many sites as you like. You receive 1 FREE credit when you register and you are suppose to keep this credit with you for the rest of your life.
Also, you will only be asked to pay 50 credits when you list in the PREMIUM section and this is completely your choice. Other than this gFlip is completely FREE.
This system was originally designed to be a paid service. Thats why there are so many issues. I am looking into hiring someone to completely fix this issue. Anyone here good with PHP??
@Marco Hardman
Well, it won’t work for me because ALL, I mean ALL of my domains and websites are PREMIUM!!!
I don’t deal with pigeon shit BS domains or websites.
You are dealing with professional here not someone who do this for hobby or for fun. I am a PRO!!
BTW-dot com is KING so I guess it will devalue my reputation if I list them on a dot whatever site.
BTW-dot com is KING
I agree, but also the non.com must be sold somewhere
Hello,
Integrated a shout-box to the site, check it out at the bottom of the page.
You should be ready to spend money on getting the dot com NOW.
This is will be a classic example why dot com is KING.
I told you so….
Also, added trash-talk feature to every listing.
Since BullS likes talking a lot of trash.
but BullS is right on this point, you should buy gflip.com, before its price will grow too much!
the gFliP listing seems slowed very much
so, you should start now an ad campaign!
hey, Marco, today I’ve received (apparently from Russia) an advertising mail that promotes a domains sales site that is EXACTLY the same of your gFliP.net
websaledomain.com
well, are, gFliP.net and this russian site, members of an international network of websites and domains marketplaces, owned by you or by different persons?
and, why the PayPal account of your site isn’t a mail with your name but has the name of an (unknown) Sukhi Grewal?
waiting for a clear answer from the site owner, I’ve closed my two auctions from gFliP
Sukhi Grewal is a partner there is a group of 4 of us and i have never heard of websaledomain.com. They are using the same script as us.
and as for the advertising campaign it will start Saturday which is the 10th of september
A new bug has arised causing some listings to end in 24 hours when they are suppose to end in a different time frame set by the user.
Thus, we are going to hold off the advertising campaigns until this problem is fixed. I will give thedomains.com users a heads up when the advertising campaigns will start.
Well, it didn’t take long for the site to go OUT OF BUSINESS. gFlip.net RIP.. I mean gee-FLOP
