Mike Mann just posted on his Facebook page a few recent sales from DomainMarket.com and topping the list were 4 .Co domain names totaling $85,000 in sales.
In all according to his Facebook, DomainMarket.com posted over $110K in sales in the last two weeks, including the 4 .Co domains “which were a package deal”.
Congrats to Mike and his team
Here are the domains Mike listed as recent sales:
finance.co $25,000.00
automotive.co $20,000.00
cigar.co $20,000.00
ski.co $20,000.00
greenbusiness.org $12,500.00
acceleratedsales.com $6,500.00
pediatricplus.com $6,000.00
any idea of ski weather it sold as just another LLL or pronounceable or any company with that abbreviation might have bought it?
what is interesting to know about pricey .CO domains isn’t who sold them, but who has bought them, why and to do what
Some few domainers believes on .co future and buy as investment not development. I won’ t be surprise if those went to domainers not end users.
I’ve just renew my LLL.co because I also believe that it can be a great alternative to LLL.com
1. Most LLL.com are developped sites
2. If a LLL.com is available for sale, price will not be affordable for end users.
as I have said many times
LLL.Co are priced right in the $5,000 – $20,000 range
bullseye.
on some other sites like namepros.com which is run by .com idiots, kicked all the .Co proponents and these idiots run the idiot drum beat.
Hey you idiots, selling on f***ing ebay is not exactly marketing and getting the best price.
I know 2 people waiting in line right this minute who are willing to pay $200 for any LLL.Co
so f*** ebay and namepros
the funny thing is that
ski.com has even less traffic than my own site.
LLL.Co are going extinct which shoots the price through the roof.
I know for a fact that several hundred are already developed by major corporations or sold for $5,000 – $20,000 price range
Just take a look at the following for yourself the LLL.Co that I have found on my own.

Nice sales from Mike Mann.
I dont think SKI was sold as a LLL. I would say it may be as a SKI resort (water or snow) in mind or for sale to another possible end user.
Still gives me hope that my speculation in the .CO domains may actually pay off.
I know the one LLL .CO domain that I have parked at Sedo has been getting a decent amount of looks.
Who knows… maybe one day there will be another sale to post up here.
Just my thoughts
Cheers
Well at least mike is making a Living on .co, anyone else yet? (aside from the registry and registrars)
jp@
i sold LLLL.co for$ 2900
the funny thing is that
ski.com has even less traffic than my own site.
Skiing is out of season you dot co ass…………
@Rich, care to share?
I’m always happy to unless there is an NDA.
Christopher@
It was AMECdotco at the same time they bought the .net for $3k. AMECdotcom bought them.
Great sale, Rich!
Some nice sales. Happy to see the .co is remaining disciplined and no real out of whack sales or growth that is ‘too far, too fast’ as the old business saying goes. It’s a nice foundation for a strong, new extension. Kudos to Mike Mann for being one of the market makers.
@MHB
In a comment to his own post, Mike said that “to be clear, we sold a lot more than this, this is just highlights”.
@Rich
right there that tells me .Co is presently right there with .net
and of course it is only matter of time …
unfortunately, all the best .co are already taken
@Robert
How is .co right there with .net?
Would finance.net sell for 20k?
The .co domains will be dropping, let’s watch name jet and see.
Is it customary for him to report sales when the whois info does not change?
NONE of the .co domains have changed whois.
So, either they did not sell or EVERY buyer did not change the whois after paying that kind of money.
Just me or is something fishy here?
“something fishy here?”
we must wait a few weeks and check the whois again
Why?
If someone spent $20k or more for a domain, I would think they would want the whois changed immediately.
Odd that ALL four .co sales where NONE have the whois changed?
@Robert Cline :
i sold the lic *//* co for 1999$ to a Canadian firm. they recently had launched the site. i should say the buyer badly needed it. approached several times. could have asked little more 🙂
Rob
Mike did say that all 4 .Co domains we sold in a bulk sale to one buyer, so if 1 updates they all will update.
Sometimes sales are reported while the domain is still in escrow and not transferred yet, I don’t think Mike is just making it up and think you will see the whois changed shortly
Well done! Good to know .CO is going strong.
All we need now is a good brand marketing out there so, everyone will follow.
Makes sense it is one buyer. Sorry I missed that.
@kandyject
very nice
I too sold GEV.co for $3,000 couple weeks ago.
all LLL.Co should be going for this range without exception.
I think the vast vast majority of businesses are just getting to know the .Co
We are just seeing the tip of the iceberg
I suspect with greater advertisement it is only matter of time …
@Robert Cline
Very nice sale too. cheers!
Hahaha!
Silly domainer!
.co superior miniaturization of .com!
One less letter!
Mean “company” or “corporation”!
.com mean nothing! Fact that everyone in world understand .com not mean anything to .co! Soon, everyone forget about .com and only know .co!
I call Pope earlier this morning and he say that Jesus being replaced in Church with .co domain!
International Monetary Fund report that currency soon to be obsolete- all transaction be conducted with .co domain!
Yesterday, I at bar, I tip hot waitress with lll.co domain and she come home with me to have sex! She now wife.
You better not miss .co boat!
You already miss .mobi (means MOBILE!), .pro (means PROFESSIONAL!), .tel (means TELEPHONE!)… This is your last chance! .co means COMPANY!
fantastic
the fun just started
my stalking friend arrived.
the problem with these heavily invested .com people
is that they don’t like change.
My friends the only certain thing is change.
so learn to live with it.
right of the dot age is upon us
learn to position yourself by getting short meaningful right of dot like .Co
I just get off phone with Albert Einstein (.co domainer have special phone number to call anyone we want, even dead)
He say fundamental basis for Relativity Theory traceable to .co domain names.
I ask how this can be- he say that law of physics currently being rewritten.
New formula: e=.coC2
“He say fundamental basis for Relativity Theory traceable to .co domain names.

LOL… that is hilarious.
Nearly crapped my pants when I read that one.
Thanks for the chuckle
Cheers
I like .CO’s quite a bit…. but for the love of god MB… please, please, please block Robert Cline from your blog. Your readers deserve no less.
@Jason,
I disagree…
RC is not abusive or mean or spammy…he’s just an evangelist. I enjoy his comments and the discussions they provoke. They are just comments…he’s not a guest writer.
I don’t think blanket censorship is called for here and kudos to MHB for allowing him the privilege to share his strong opinions.
We don’t have to agree but we should agree to be civil.
Jason
I agree the guy is over the top and sometimes quite annoying yet I can’t see a reason to block him
I do remove his comments from non .Co posts.
I agree with Christopher
Robert Clines comments drive me nuts and I also think the .CO domains will be a strong contender in the future. Hell they are already making a strong showing now.
But we can not censor him because we do not like what he has to say. If we start doing that, then you can be just as easily censored if you disagree with someone else. It really becomes a slippery slope once you start.
Let him say his piece and we can point out his flaws in his comments.
Just my thoughts.
Cheers
What a Good Job from Mike Mann!
More and more .co make the nice deal happen,I’m so glad with it,Also I owned so many .CO,and I renew them all.
You guys do realize there is a 99% chance these domains were sold to another DOMAINER, right ?
Ski.co, cigar.co, automotive.co, finance.co … all DIFFERENT industries … no chance this was an END USER company, corporation, or business. I’m sure these will be parked or listed for sale.
But gotta promote promote promote, keep promoting and marketing GO GO GO.
Very good sales – Like I have said before, there are a few solid CO domain sales each week and let’s hope it stays that way
On a side note, I am currently working on a Buy/Sell CO domain newsletter if anyone is interested…
-Chris
Even if they where sold to another domainer, its still a sale and those numbers will be kept for reference.
There has been many decent sales numbers like this happening more and more frequently. In my opinion, its starting to establish a base line for sale prices.
At the same time, larger entities are *starting* to purchase .co domains, now if they start using them and putting advertising dollars behind them… only time will tell.
But there always has to be a baseline established when it comes to price. I am sure that even if it was another domainer (which it very well may have been) to purchase these domains, that person/group feels that they could make a profit from these names in the future.
This tells me that someone who has 85K to blow and afford to be able to sit on the names for a while believes that these domains will reap larger rewards in the future. I have to assume that the person/group did a little bit of research and came up with some numbers to support their hypothesis.
That is just my opinion.
Cheers
@pete
Even if they were sold to a domainer that will park them, what’s the problem? When Russia.com sold for $1,500,000 in 2009 it was considered a very important sale and guess what? After 2 years it’s still collecting dust on GoDaddy’s servers (in fact it still shows GoDaddy’s default landing page).
In the meantime, Movie.CO sold on Sedo for $12,000.
213.co ‘s Auction was end at Namejet.com,the final price is $465 usd
